From the manual: Adjust optional settings where applicable for: Closer, Injuries, Trades, Player Affinity, Luxury Tax, Annual Player Moves, Sim Minors, and Player Photos. In addition, you can adjust the difficulty level for human involved trades by changing the value of Trade Difficulty. The default is set at 65. Higher number means easier trading and lower number will make it more difficult for other teams to accept your offer.
Game Options screen: Change your trade difficulty the other direction towards 100. Default setting is 65. Experiment as needed.
Yeah I was experiencing similar issues. Just increased the trading difficulty level and am now getting some trade possibilities. 65 seems to be very restrictive.
FYI: INCREASING the "Trade Difficulty" is rather counter-intuitive. I'm glad you told us that increasing it makes trades easier, because I would have thought that increasing the level would make trading more difficult. I have now checked the Manual and it is well-explained there. But I suspect many others would either not read the Manual or miss this in the Manual and would also assume, like I did, that increasing the level would increase the level of difficulty.
Yeah, PG... Imagined the frustration (and being ignorant for not reading the manual, duh...) As I keep decreasing toward the single digit... "why doesn't anyone want to trade with me... Wha... wha... " ... and now, everyone wants to be my friend...
